Our assessment
The strongest option on the .de list. INWX is a long-running German registrar, and its local-presence service keeps you as the registered holder while supplying a German address for service of legal documents. Because you are the holder, ending the service is not a fight to extract a domain from someone else. The one weakness is pricing: INWX quotes the service case by case rather than publishing a figure, so you have to ask before you can compare. For a business that wants a German counterparty and a clean holder position on .de, this is the one to use. On .eu the same description does not sit as comfortably. The trustee list covers .eu and its Cyrillic and Greek variants, at a fee rather than free, but the mechanism is described in one sentence for every extension: the domain is registered in your name with INWX's data or a local partner's. EURid's terms forbid registration data that is the registrar's, so on .eu the arrangement needs an explanation the page does not give, and no .eu-specific fee or exit process is published.

Ratings are given per extension in each comparison table, weigh contract transparency, exit terms and holding structure ahead of price, and are not affected by affiliate arrangements because there are none.
