Our assessment
The strongest operator on the .no list. The holding entity is a real Norwegian business with a named proprietor and verifies against Brønnøysundregisteret, not a free non-profit shell. A trustee agreement, refund policy, privacy policy and terms of service are all published and readable before purchase. Exit is free, runs within two business days to any registrar you name, and a wind-down clause returns domains to customers if the company stops trading. Payment is by card through Stripe, so a dispute is possible. At $89 a year it is not the cheapest .no trustee, and nothing cheaper matches it on terms. It is also a Stripe Climate member, contributing a portion of its revenue to carbon removal; that has no bearing on the rating, but it is a further sign of a business operating in the open. The weaknesses concern age rather than terms: the service began trading in 2025, so its track record is short, and it has one Trustpilot review, too few to draw conclusions from.
