Our assessment
PTS publishes what almost nobody else does: a complete imprint naming the legal entity, its registered address in Friedrichsthal, its commercial register number, its managing director and its VAT number, alongside terms and conditions anyone can read before buying. Its own terms describe the .eu service accurately as fiduciary administration or holdership, which is more candid than most marketing. The problems are all in the lock-in. Clause 5(a) leaves pricing entirely to a partner registrar and clause 2(c) makes the list of partner registrars available only on request, so the fee is unknowable until you find the reseller. Clause 6(b) ties the contract to the domain staying with that registrar. Clause 6(d) lets PTS forbid a transfer to any non-partner registrar unless PTS has already been removed from the public record. Clause 6(c) allows termination for cause once payment is more than twenty calendar days late, and says all rights of the customer then lapse. Clause 9(b) excludes assignment of your rights. Per-TLD fees and five-year totals, the contract terms on surrender and transfer, the legal entity that becomes the registrant of record in each country, non-payment behaviour, and what shows in each registry's public lookup. Figures are published only once verified against the provider's current pricing, with a date. The trust score weighs contract transparency, exit terms and holding structure ahead of price, and is not affected by affiliate arrangements because there are none.
