A named, reachable retail registrar that adds its local contact automatically and at no charge, which on .sg is exactly right: SGNIC tests an administrative contact, Gandi says it will declare its own local contact into that field if you do not name one, and you stay the registrant. On .jp the same description does not fit the registry. Gandi's page offers a local owner or administrative contact as alternatives, but the general-use .jp rules test the registrant's address and provide no administrative-contact route, so either its contact is going into the registrant field or the eligibility question is unanswered. Its pricing sits high, with .jp renewing at 153.58 pounds against a 93.60 pound registration, and it documents nothing at all about removing the service or transferring out afterwards. Worth noting the negative signal too: Gandi's published trustee list runs to about thirty extensions and leaves out .it, .cn and .hu, which are three of the registries where holding a domain for someone else is most exposed.

Figures are published only once verified against the provider's current pricing, with a date. The trust score weighs contract transparency, exit terms and holding structure ahead of price, and is not affected by affiliate arrangements because there are none.
